Who we are

At Gloucester Sea Hive, we believe beekeeping is more than a harvest—it’s a form of stewardship.

We’re a small coastal apiary rooted in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where the salt air meets wildflowers and the work moves at the speed of the seasons. Our focus isn’t on squeezing out product—it’s on sustaining strong, healthy hives in a way that supports the land, the bees, and the people connected to both.

Our Core Values

Stewardship

We care for our bees the way they care for their colony—with intention, with attention, and with the understanding that every decision echoes beyond the hive box.

Sustainability

We work with the rhythms of nature, not against them. From seasonal timing to low-impact practices, we’re building an apiary that respects ecological limits and local conditions.

Community

We’re here to connect—not just with the bees, but with our neighbors. Through education, shared experience, and storytelling, we hope to inspire others to look closer, slow down, and maybe even pick up a hive tool of their own.

Gloucester Sea Hive is Black-, woman-, and veteran-owned—and built from the ground up to reflect the values we live by.

This is beekeeping with purpose. You’re welcome to walk alongside us.
